Dr. Jennifer Vallelungo attended medical school at LSU in New Orleans. She went on to complete her residency training in ophthalmology with LSU and Ochsner.  
 
Dr. Vallelungo is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and specializes in cataract surgery and general ophthalmology.  

She has experience in treating various conditions and diseases of the eye, including cataracts, cataract surgery, glaucoma, glaucoma surgery, and various other conditions.

Dr. Vallelungo has received numerous honors and awards including the Preliminary Intern of the Year Award by Ochsner Clinic Foundation in 2011, the Above and Beyond Award by LSU/Ochsner Ophthalmology in 2013, the Excellence in Teaching Award by LSU/Ochsner Ophthalmology in 2013, and the Outstanding Graduate of the Year by  LSU/Ochsner Ophthalmology in 2014.

In her spare time, Dr. Vallelungo enjoys boating, gardening, and spending time with her family.
